Costa Rica

Mark and I went to Costa Rica last week for an orthodontic meeting.  Neither of us had been there before and we had an amazing time!  Guanacaste is in their dry season right now, but even so it was beautiful.  I would love to go back during the rainy season and see how lush it will get!  We decided to do a few excursions which included riding on ATV trails and going zip lining.  So much fun!!  We can't wait to zip line again!

Holla monkeys were everywhere and they did exactly that - holla as loud as they could! 

I felt like I was at home with my girls!!

This was our favorite thing there - the zip lines.  You start at the top 

of the mountain and zip your way down! 

It is hard to tell, but these lines were way above the tree line.  

We could not even see the ground it was so far away!

This stretch was one of the longest...if you look way down the distance along the line, that little dot is me!

So of course my crazy husband had to try it too!

To get to Costa Rica we flew over the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef near Belize.  It was huge!

It is the second largest reef in the world (it stretches over 600 miles long).

 Some of the best diving there!  It really looked amazing!

Can't wait to go back!

Talia's Funky Style

Talia has always wanted to pick her own clothes out, ever since she was little.  Most days I let her wear whatever she wants and she will put together some crazy outfits.  She can pull it off though and they are pretty cute on her!  I remind myself that she is showing her creative side and it fits her wild spirit!  She still changes several times a day and always includes several accessories :-)  Here are some of her latest ensembles.

Taizley's 3rd Birthday Party

Taizley had her 3rd birthday party at gymnastics last weekend.  

We celebrated it a week early when Papa was in town.  She had so much fun with all of her friends. 

At first she talked about wanting a Shrek party, but then changed it to Sesame Street!

Papa's Visit

Papa came to visit last weekend!  We had so much fun! 

He even got to go to a KSU basketball game and loved it!

Mardi Gras

Valentine's Day

 That evening Natalie and her fiance James came over with a surprise for Taizley!

All she kept asking for her birthday was a Shrek cake.  They made one for her!

At first she was scared of it - I think she thought it was real.  Then when she

found out it was cake, she wanted several pieces!

Mark's Coffee

Mark has a favorite coffee shop that he is at all the time!  This week he made the billboard :-)  

Maybe that means he's there too often??

Puppy Love

Our friends got the cutest puppy - the girls are pretty excited about it!  Talia is in love!!  She keeps asking when we are going to get ours!

Dress Up

The girls decided to play dress up at my mom's house one night.  They tried on my old sub deb dress!  Look at the top of it - what was I thinking??

Seriously - it was way cooler then :-)

Cookie Monster Donut

Taizley loves going to Varsity Donuts and getting her favorite Cookie Monster Donut!  

She was on her way!  Notice the Marshmallow Man - my mom let her 

borrow it from her toys :-)  She carries him everywhere!  The date on the 

bottom says 1984 - it was one of our toys when we were little!
